Queen Catching Demo

Queen Catching

Join us to watch one of BeeWeaver's queen catchers at work. Our mini queen yard (aptly named 'Ana Rosa's Queen Garden') is next to our BeeGoods Mercantile. You will be able to see how we arrange our queen nucs, look for and catch queens, clip/mark queens, and cage them. Afterwards each nuc will receive a new queen cell and a shot of feed.

Please note this is a live hive event. While queen nucs are small, gentle colonies there is still a chance of stings. Please bring your own veil or plan on buying one at our store that morning if you feel you must protect against this risk.

This event is weather dependent. In the chance of rain it will be postponed or cancelled.
